The extension and the desktop app talk over a local connection on this computer. Pairing proves both sides know a code that only the desktop app shows.

In the desktop app, open Settings → Chrome extension and choose Show pairing code. Zenith shows a six-digit code.

In Chrome, open the Zenith extension and click Connect to Zenith Desktop (the Zenith mark in the popup header). Type the code and choose Connect to Zenith Desktop.

Both screens then show a six-character check code. If the two match, choose They match, pair in the desktop app.

What it asks Chrome for.

The extension never runs code sent from anywhere else: the desktop app sends data such as a component name or a guided step, never scripts. See the privacy policy.
