Zenith organizes work into features. A feature has a plan, a changeset of drafts, threads with the agent, and a ship history. Quick questions go in chats instead.
Modes
The composer has three modes; Shift Tab cycles them.
| Mode | What the agent can do |
|---|---|
| Ask | Read the mirror and answer. Changes nothing. |
| Plan | Explore, ask you questions, and write a plan: requirements, test cases and the components it will touch. |
| Build | Write drafts into the changeset. Every draft is linted as Deluge and checked against your app’s forms and fields. |
Nothing in Ask, Plan or Build touches Creator. Drafts live on your Mac until you ship.
Review
Open the Changes tab to see each draft against the live version in Creator. Keep or Undo each hunk (Y / N), mark each component Reviewed, leave line comments and send them back to the agent with Command Return. You can also edit any draft by hand.
Ship
Ship to Creator opens the ship wizard with the plan for this run.
Preflight runs first and blocks the run if something is wrong: lint errors, drift in Creator since the last pull, the wrong target, or no permission to write. Destructive changes, new external hosts and new places for secrets each need an explicit acknowledgement.
The step rail then says who acts:
- Automatic: Zenith pushes these. Each function is snapshotted, pushed, then re-fetched and compared. New functions are always automatic once writes are allowed for the app. Edits to existing functions are automatic after you teach Zenith to save functions for that app; until then they are guided pastes.
- Guided: you do these in Creator. Fields, forms, workflows, reports and pages are changed in the embedded Creator tab. Each step says what to click, every value has a Copy button, and Zenith watches for the change and ticks the step when it appears.
- Check: Zenith re-syncs the app. A targeted re-pull of every component in the plan.
Pause after each step if you want to look before going on. Quitting mid-run pauses it; Zenith checks the in-flight step against live Creator when you resume.
Teach Zenith to save functions
Creator has no public API for function code. To push edits automatically, Zenith learns how your builder saves a function: open any function in the Creator tab, change nothing, and press Save. Zenith records that one request on your Mac (nothing is sent anywhere), then proves the recording works on a scratch function before using it.
Verify
The verify table shows what the re-pull found for every component and compares it with the plan: Match, Partial, Mismatch or Missing. Only Match counts. When every row matches, the feature is Shipped, with a summary of what changed, how long it took and what the model cost.
If something is missing, Verify & complete audits the feature against its requirements and builds only what is missing.
Roll back
Every run keeps its snapshots. Roll back restores the functions Zenith changed, in reverse order. It refuses to overwrite a function someone changed after Zenith pushed it, and shows you the conflict instead. New fields and forms are left in place by default, because removing them deletes data; guided undo steps list what to remove by hand.
